With over 25 years in the corporate and education sectors, Mo is a senior executive with experience leading organizations and teams to achieve aspirational goals and is sought out as a career coach and advisor to individuals at all stages of their career.

CAREER & LEADERSHIP COACHING

Mo is passionate about helping women of color in tech who are who are leading in times of disruption and complex change.  She has accelerated the careers of mid-career professionals and senior executives in their current roles.  For those seeking new career paths, Mo helps clients transition into meaningful work that aligns with their values and purpose.  She draws from her own experiences in high tech and education, building and leading teams while simultaneously navigating through life changes including caregiving for young children and elderly parents.  Mo provides the empathetic coaching that helps leaders understand not only how to pivot to new situations but also discover their own superpowers. 
 
Mo is the Director of the Accel Leadership Program at Stanford University.  She is also a coach with Harvard Business School and a mentor with Stanford University BEAM (Bridging Education, Ambition, and Meaningful Work).  She has coached hundreds of Googlers as part of the g2g Coaching program.   Mo is ICF certified and a Hudson Institute Certified Coach.  She is also certified in the MHS EQ-i 2.0 talent assessment tool and trained in Positive Intelligence
 
Known for her exceptional ability to understand her client's true desires and identify the key blockers, clients are able to intercept internal saboteurs and make progress quickly.  Upon completion of the coaching program, clients have the clarity of vision and confidence to pursue their purpose and achieve their full potential in life and work.

Mo has over 25 years of experience working at the intersection of Tech and Social Impact.   She is currently the Executive Director of the Stanford Engineering Entrepreneurship Center (stvp.stanford.edu/about).  In her 15 years at Google, she led teams supporting Google’s biggest bets such as Google Assistant and Google Search and was the Chief Compliance Officer for Google Payments.  Most recently, she supported users of Google for Education products such as Classroom as 1.6 billion students throughout the globe shifted to distance learning. 

Throughout her career, Mo has also been an advocate for equity in education from serving as the former Executive Director of the Stanford Educational Leadership Initiative  transforming large school districts and their approach to teaching and learning.  At Google, she established Google’s CS Education research, programs, and evaluations to “help every student access the quality education they deserve” focusing on inspiring and retaining under-represented students in computer science. 

Prior to Google, Mo also worked at PayPal in risk management and was an administrator and high school teacher in the Bay Area at the Fremont Union High School District.  Mo holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and MA in Education from Stanford University and MBA from Harvard Business School.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Mo also supports the Asian community through the Stanford Asian Pacific American Alumni Club (SAPAAC), TOPPA, Ascend, Stand with Asians, and ERGs and advises education start-ups and organizations such as Develop4Good, Starfish Institute, Televisit.org, LightUP.io, Hack the Gap, National Girls Collaborative Project, and 100kin10.  She lives in the Bay Area, California with her husband and two sons.
